three weeks with three kids

It’s been a whirlwind at the Paquette household as I have been and will continue to be in baby daze.  Daddy has been home this week (what a support he is-thanks hubby!) and I’m quite nervous as next week is my first week without any help during the days! Ahh!

Asher’s Tree

Asher’s Oma, James’ mother, brought a special oak tree to celebrate his birth.  Together, Rilyn and Ella helped plant the tree in our front yard.  Asher will grow up with his tree and it is a special reminder of how much he is loved in our family.  Thanks Oma for helping us out this week-we truly appreciated it!!

Ella’s First Haircut

We took our first outing on Friday to Toys R Us to get Ella’s first haircut.  My mom was with us so I wasn’t totally crazy going out alone with 3 kids.  Asher did okay.  I had to feed him and then he had a poop explosion where I went through 3 diapers and 50 wipes in one change.  It took about 15 minutes to clean him so that was fun.

Ella sure looked cute after her haircut and is such a little girl now.  Where has our toddler gone?

One week old

Things I’ve learned this past week:

  • You can survive on one hour of sleep at night, you can’t function, but you can survive.
  • Transition is hard for anyone, but especially a 4 year old.
  • It’s all about support- thanks mom for helping me so much this week!
  • Asher is such a blessing-I actually have a son!
